I wrote this about the massive changes at KTRS.
Now the geniuses at KTRS
have fired everybody they hired in December. Ratings have plummeted, Cardinal broadcasting is a mess and all I can think of is why did Cardinal management mess with such a good thing as the Cardinal-KMOX partnership?
You can make an argument that the new guys from out of town didn't know how things worked in St. Louis, but what explanation is there for the Cardinal management?
Rumors have been swirling about a few basketball players. It's irresponsible. I'd rather talk about basketball. For example, certain players have gotten a bad rap. All deserve some credit, particularly for their hustle and steals. Go Tigers.
Things will slow to a crawl around here for a few months, so enjoy some Cardinal baseball.
In an effort to keep the positives rolling, Missouri athletic director Mike Alden announced on Friday that Missouri's defensive scheme under Mike Anderson will not be known as '40 Minutes of Hell'. "Hell carries negative connotations relative to good-evil and so forth," said Alden. "We're looking for positives here at Missourah. After lengthy discussions between my support staff and Coach Anderson's support staff, we eventually set up a meeting to discuss this. By meeting, I mean I sat across the room from him and made body gestures and he interpreted them. My suggestion is that we call it '40 minutes of basketball', because frankly, that is the truth and I want the truth to carry the day at Missourah."
Coach Anderson seemed a little surprised at the announcement. "Well, I did eat at Flat Branch on Friday and I think I did see Mike Alden on the other side of the room. He kept flinching and moving, but I thought maybe he just has some strange ticks or maybe had gas."
