The Lack of Leadership

The disconnect between Chancellor Deaton's investigation notes and his public statement is comical. However, the one thing that sums up the leadership void at Mizzou was his note that Gary Link passed on divulging the information that was the whole point of the investigation...what was his conversation with Quin Snyder? I didn't know he could do that. I assume if Deaton had offered Link a piece of apple pie, Link would have the latitude to say "No thanks, boss." But when asked a direct question about a key fact in the investigation, Link does not have that privilege. So what was Deaton's response to Link's insubordination? Deaton issued a public statement declaring the matter closed. It just gets dumber every day.
