I've followed Missouri basketball for some time and I can't remember when there has been more hysterical anticipation than what is surrounding Bob Huggins right now. The only other time I remember this type of hype was when Quin Snyder was announced as our head coach. "Duke West", we were told. We know how that played out and we also know how mobs of crazed lunatics can sometimes get it wrong.

Let me break the news to you right now so you can start the mourning process...Bob Huggins will not be Missouri's next basketball coach. There is absolutely no way that a coach with his kind of baggage, real or perceived, will be put in place following Missouri's seven year crisis of reputation, particularly in light of the number of quality basketball coaches we can go after.

I know this hurts, but it hurts me more than it hurts you. No it doesn't.
