The Quinholm Syndrome

The Quinholm Syndrome is when fans over time become sympathetic to their captor, Quin Snyder. It happens when a coach takes a team to historic depths and occassionally pulls a game (or a couple of games, see the Elite 8 run) out of his meat muffins. When the latter occurs, said coach is praised as a hero; a savior of the program. The fanbase is kept captive through this perpetual cycle of submersion with sudden bursts of air. The fanbase is so grateful for the air, they praise their captor.
