Kevin Slaten the Fool

Kevin Slaten of KFNS dramatically announced on air yesterday that Quin Snyder would be resigning at the end of the season and taking a job as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets. This news attracted so much attention he wound up being interviewed on air by Kevin Keitzman in Kansas City on 810 am. Slaten wouldn't name his sources, but said he had three and that they were all coaches.

That was yesterday. I also predicted that he would eventually deny ever saying this. Not quite 24 hours that's precisely what has happened. Slaten is nuancing what he said as not a report, but a possible scenario. Interesting. Why that scenario and not, say, a scenario where Snyder sprouts wings and flys in circles? Slaten can call it whatever he wants. The fact is he went public with what he believed was good information on Snyder's future and backed it up with his anonymous sources. Now he doesn't have the nads to stand behind his statement. Can you say pathological?
